What is Full Spectrum Hemp oil?
Hawaii NEXUS Full Spectrum Hemp Oil is the most complete extraction of all of the hemp plants constituents into its oil form. Our oil concentrate is composed of Cannabinoids, terpenes, amino acids, chlorophylls, flavinoids, waxes and fats. All of these constituents comprise the “entourage” of active synergistic compounds in the whole plant, delivered to you in its simplest, most complete form. This concentrate is then diluted in an organic carrier oil like Coconut MCT oil or Hemp Seed Oil for a measured milligram delivery.
What are Cannabinoids?
Cannabinoids are the most dominant and important chemical compounds in Hemp, and over 100 have been identified. The endocannabinoid system of the human body endogenously produces cannabinoids that are synaptic activators for an extensive neural network throughout the body, and regulates homeostasis. Cannibidol (CBD) and CBDa is the dominant cannabinoid in our full spectrum extract. Hemp oil is a concentrated source of these important compounds.
What are Terpenes?
Terpenes are the essential oils and aromatic compounds of the Cannabis plant. Currently, more than 100 terpene compounds have been identified and are being characterized for their uses. Each hemp variety will exhibit a different terpene profile in response to genetic expression and specific environmental and seasonal conditions.
Hawaii NEXUS oil extract averages 1% terpene concentration by weight, and our terpene profile adds to the distinctive character of our Full Spectrum Oil.
What is the “Entourage Effect”?
The “entourage effect” is the synergistic efficiency of botanical chemistry in the true diversity of pure constituents, and the principle that “the sum of all of the plant constituents is more efficacious as a whole plant extract”. Cannabinoids, terpenes, flavinoids, amino acids, chlorophylls, and other plant compounds work synergistically in combination, not isolation. Hawaii NEXUS never uses isolated cannabinoids or terpenes in our products.
Where does your hemp come from?
We grow, dry, and process all of our own hemp on our organic farm located in Moloaa, on the island of Kauai.

All of our products can be tracked and traced by batch number on our site, hawaiinexus.com.

What about the grapefruit advisory and other potential side effects?
Current research indicates that grapefruit compounds can have negative interactions with pharmaceutical drugs that inhibit cytochrome P450 enzymes necessary for the metabolism of those drugs. CBD can also inhibit P450 enzymes at high dosages. If you are on medication that has an advisory against grapefruit consumption, the same level of concern should be applied to CBD products. It is recommended that you consult with a physician before beginning a new dietary supplement product or program.
